*Trigger Warning
Has anyone here tried it before?
I am really tempted right now to cut deeply, but if I cut too deep, I'd like to self stitch. I've heard of some people self stitching before, and I don't think I'd feel comfortable showing my doctors any deep cuts because I know they'll probably have me admitted.
So, just question, what are you opinions on self stitching,
And have you ever tried it before?

I have to strongly caution you against it. If you have no experience/training in stitching wounds, you could make a serious mistake and cause further injury, never mind the risk of infection. I've heard things about people doing it, but most of them had at least some instruction from a harm minimisation lecture or the like. It's difficult to seek medical help with self-inflicted injuries, but it's far better than endangering your well-being.

My Opinion? DON'T DO IT.
There's a reason people normally go the hospital to get stitches. Doctors are experienced and know how to stitch up cuts etc, I'm pretty sure you don't. Just because you can sew up a rip in a top, it doesn't mean you know how to stitch your skin back together. And you're increasing your risk of infection by a lot. Hospitals are clean and doctors know how to clean wounds effectively, and even if you use disinfectant, it probably won't make much difference. There's probably a stupid amount if bacteria lurking around in your bedroom.
Going to hospital for self harm can be horrible and really hard to do, I understand that. But it's so much safer and you'll get the medical attention you need. Let's face it, they'll know a lot more about how to care for wounds than you will, what with 5 years of medical training and all.

I know someone who did it, it got infected and they had to go to hospital to have them taken out and re done again. They were also told off by the doctors. Why would you put yourself through that unessecary pain if you could just get it sorted straight away?
The doctors know what they are doing, i wouldnt ever do it yourself.

I think that was probably what I felt like I wanted, as dumb as that sounds...
But I really appreciate everyone's input, I don't plan on cutting that deep enough to need stitches soon, but if I do, I'll probably just go to the hospital.
