Hi.
New here. :)

I actually found this forum by Googling 'forums for SH support'. I'm not too familiar with it, but this place seems similar to others that I have joined and become a part of.

It seems pretty safe and secure here, so... I'll just give some information about myself.

My name is Alexis, I'm 17 years old (My birthday was two weeks ago!) and I've been cutting for a few years now, off and on. I started trying to make a change after I attempted suicide on my birthday two weeks ago, and now I'm in therapy and working to get better. I joined here mostly for encouragement from my peers. The other places I have been, were encouraging and all, but the support came from people who were relatively older. So... yeah.

Welcome Alexis, i'm also new. Happy birthday (: I just turned 18 (9 days ago)! I also attempted suicide around the age of 15 due to pressure coming from all the people in my life (teachers were pressuring us to decide on a job and a career path for our lives, I wasn't ready) also my parents were pressuring me to get a job (at the time I wasn't ready), I suffered from anxiety and I was bullied only a few times at school but that probably didn't help either. I hope you get better and when you are feeling much better you still stay active here! If you need anyone to talk to, you can sure talk to me every step of the way. I went to so many councillors from the age of 15 - 17 so I can sort of get where you are coming from. Well take care and stay safe (: peace - Nik
