anyone have any experience concerning addiction with them?
tried them once, but i don't want to make it a habit like my pot smoking as i hear they are addictive. but i have a friend that spent 2 weeks straight on hydros and codine, and besides being sore and having minor depression for a few days after he was fine. the side effects of them are pretty scary, though.

This is my suggestion strictly, from personal experience and from someone who watched a very special member of my life be eaten away because of them, bu youre gonna do what you need to do to learn the lessons you need to in your life whatever decision you make if you have even made one yet. Walk Away. That simple buddy.
Yeah they are pretty fun if Im honest, but the fun doesnt last for too long. They are extremely addictive. It doesnt matter how your friend does it man, he might have a tolerance level that is definitely much higher than yours giving him that ability to do more. Though when you come down the shit hits the fan. With my experience, it was a severe depression, low blood pressure, vomiting, cold chills, heavy chest, massive headaches and the one thing that never seemed to leave my mind, was the powerful sensation and drive to only do more and more.
There can be a lot of repercussions depending on what it is. I hope you take this suggestion and probably a lot of other people that will reply to the thread. Be safe man, the decision is yours. If you want more information leave me a vm or pm and ill help all i can. Good luck.

Yeah, I feel you. I've watched my cousin destroy her life and body with heroine.
Sorry to hear about your family member. It's hard having to stand there and watch but you can't do anything about it.
I really don't have interest in doing them again, as I said. Their just a commonly used drug, at least where I live.

Where I used to live it was real popular. I mixed a lot of my drugs though. Just glad you dont have an interest anymore, the temptation, with the mental and physical desire, will drive people to do a lot of unthinkable shit. Use your head dude, take care.

If you chose to take them, be careful. Only use them occasionaly, and do not give into the temptation to start doing it daily.

Besides personal experience, out of all the drug/addiction forums I've visited, opiates were always the drug that people struggled the most to stay away from. This was coming from alcoholics, crack, heroine, nicotine, ect ect users.
Fun, sure. Until you get addicted and/or kill your liver.

I've actually never heard of really horrible physiological effects from heroin other than the acute effects and effects from shooting up. I would say that benzo addiction is probably more nasty than some opiates, mainly because withdrawal is so crap-tastic. A lot of people claim that opiates can actually be a bit boring/fake feeling. It's really not worth it in the end.
I've always wanted to try smoking raw opium (i.e not morphine or H) and in my most nihilistic, depressed moments, I've wanted to smoke heroin and kill myself by overdose of heroin or fentanyl (or China White if that stuff is still around).

I've researched heroine a little (never would think about doing it, just wanted to try and see things from my family member's perspective). Everyone that did it would do it again after, it's just once your dopamine levels go that high you can't readjust to sobriety easily.
A few of my friends tried opium once. I was working, so I guess I missed out. One of them saw an animal pelt and said he orgasmed from petting it.
