I have a recording project at school and me and my friends want to sing A Capella. anybody know any good ones?

The only one I know is The Longest Time by Billy Joel, and that's not exactly achievable by all of us at the moment.

Does it have to be an actual a capella song? Can't you just sing any song a capella?

Most notable of the a capella songs I like has to be Hide and Seek by Imogen Heap. It's either that or Me and a Gun by Tori Amos but that's about rape so...

I suppose so, but I haven't been able to think of one that would sound good acapella style. Any suggestions?

try anything by evanescence :) especially Sick, Tourniquet or My Heart is Broken
if you prefer more cheerful songs, try almost any blondie song, maybe "What I Heard" off their newest album

Take a song that you like and then get someone musically intelligent to arrange it for your group. Virtually any song can sound good a capella if you have a good vocal percussion. Also, try going onto Hulu (www.hulu.com) and search for The Sing-Off. It's like American Idol for a capella groups, and you might get some good ideas from watching some episodes of that. But really, anything can work.

I really doubt my musical taste matches up very well with yours. No clue what you're into.

have you heard the glee version of "Don't Stop Believin?"

without the music, it's pretty good. or watch the music man, and when the barbershop quartet comes on, there are some good songs there.
