My dad always says that once you shave your facial hairs, the hair only gets curlier and comes in faster. Is it true? Or is it just a myth to stop me from shaving so much?

Well, there is some truth to that. The more you shave, the quick it will grow back. Just like with any hair.

personally, i think its a myth... i found that it starts slow, but then gets faster, ill guess testosterone. I had to shave once a week, and then more often. For me now its like every 3 or 4 days.

Which reminds me... i gotta go shave...

No. Not true.

When I started shaving it grew back quicker as time went on. Maybe I am confused about the question.. what make you guys say it is a myth?

It's not the fact that you shave that makes it grow faster, its the fact that its growing. I'm guessing the hair production is just kicking Into gear, and when you shave, you see how production is quickly reaching 100%.

It's scientifically proven by many, many sources that it is indeed a myth. The key in your sentence is as time went on. That's just your body maturing. Had you never shaved in your entire life, it still would have began growing faster because that's the hair maturing.

It's not true, the new hairs growing in make it look that way but it's 100% myth.

Its all psychological. You spent years without facial hair. when you shave it your mind goes back to that time but it'll grow quicker as you're already in puberty. Thats why people think that when you shave it grows back faster.
