Well i have been putting this off since i joined VT but now, It is kinda bugging me, My brother is COVERED with varookas on his feet and does not care who gets them! But now i have one, Well i have had it for 4 months or so now maybe longer.
I have put gel stuff on it, Clean it a lot, vinegar and salt as my nan said, But as you can tell, None worked, I know one way but it means a lot of blood and i do NOT want to do it!
So is there anyway to get rid of it? I constantly wear socks as it is quite big and i am ebarrissed my it!

I had to look up 'Varooka' (It's supposed to be Verruca), but I was right in what I assumed it to be. Plantar warts.

Yeah, I went to a clinic to remove one from my foot. I suggest you do so, soon. They just get worse and it will take longer to remove them the longer you let it go.

There are multiple methods of removing them, they used liquid nitrogen to remove mine. It's generally best to have a professional remove them, so like I said, see about going to a clinic or family doctor.

Verrucas are caused by a viral infection in the skin. They are very contagious, as you know, and are spread on hard surfaces such as floors and in showers and baths. The skin cells on the warts release thousands of viruses and touching the wart or skin cells on it releases the virus, which can then infect others.

There is no treatment that is guaranteed to remove verrucas. Most go away by themselves within one or two years. There are a number of meds you can buy from the pharmacy which have worked on others, there is also the treatment of freezing them off the foot by a doctor using liquid nitrogen - It doesn't hurt I have had it done to me a couple of years ago.

Go see a doctor for a quicker treatment, pharmacy for a slower treatment, wear thongs or flip flops in the shower and shoes around the house to prevent further infections. :)

I'm Australian, we call them thongs, USA (Majority of the VT users who will read this) call them flip flops. But yes taking them to someone is the best choice to take :)

The body will overcome the virus that causes it in time but a long time. Please don't cut it of it will just grow again as the virus is in your skin. You need medication to get rid of it quickly.

Lmao......thongs are underwear over here josiah! :P

But back to the topic.....I had one for years (from a swimming pool) and kept getting rid of it and it csme back about 4 times so I just left it.......about 8 years later its finally gone........and I've now got a watt on my hand instead. :(

If you can get it removed by the Dr that's probably best........I'm too much of a whimp to go to docs tho......

I think it's much better to wear sandals, socks, slippers, anything you can around the house if it prevents getting them, they can be painful, and they really are quite unseemly. If anyone in your family says something, you should just say you'd rather not get anymore of them.

I've tried everything and I still cant get mine to shift. I've had it for 2 yrs now. I have found that using tea tree oil and duct tape kind of helps.
