question .. i was going to go to a gynecologist for the first time mainly because i want to get some birth control pills (not because im haveing sex, because my period really sucks and is heavy/crampy and ive been told that they can help lighten and help with the pain) ... im only 14 so i dont really want anybody looking around their lmao so am i able to go and just get a prescription without the looking?? its kinda freaking me out lol please help .. thanks(: <3

usually a gynecologist will ask for a look but therfore they can not determine the cause of your abnormal periods without looking into it further
i cna assure you that a pap test is what a gynocologist will usually perform
look it up on google. its a very quick and non painful process...... its how they look inside... otherwise to get birth control u dont nessesarily need to go to a g/o
u can go to ur family doctor for stuff like that

i was sooooo nervious for my first exam. Like feeling sick, knees wobbling when i tried to get in the car nervious. But once i actually got it there, it was really awkward, but not near as bad as i thought it would be. You're going to have to get examined eventually anyway, might as well get it out of the way so you don't have to worry about "the unknown" anymore

I just had my first exam this week I am 14 going to be 15 pretty soon I had to get the exam to get put on birth control. The exam is not bad its just a little bit awkward at first. Try to say relaxed and dont tense up.
