A very large portion of world-class chefs these days are male, so I'm not sure where the general notion that it's a female-specific activity comes from. I'd like to be enlightened there. Your friends are probably just jealous.

I love cooking and baking as well, so you are certainly not alone. And it can even be used to your advantage! Next time a girl is asking you what activities you like, mention that you're a good chef and it's like an instant-win button.
