gaah :( I heard a rumor that if you deactivate your account, until after the timeline is set, so that afterwards you reactivate your account you should still have the old setting... do yah know if thats true?

I don't think so, your stuck with it period, personally they should stop changing everything and just keep the profiles they way they are and add a dislike button ;)

I agree with the above. It's compulsory. Facebook is being a bit like YouTube, as they switched over the channel design thrice, and so have Facebook (but with profiles).

Exactly. Why care about timeline when you still have the Facebook facility? It's not something terrible and you'll get used to it just like every other change in layout Facebook introduces.

I never knew you had to have it, I don't have it and a lot of my friends don't either but if I go to a person that has timeline it asks me if I want it
