Ok do this is my first painting of one of my drawings, what/ how can I make the background better and yeah any feedback would be helpful

I don't know, hmmm.. tbh I kinda like it with the white, adding something would throw it off, ya know what I mean?

Yeah and what kind of frame color? My dads gf is going to get me one.

Some kind of black, I think it would look nice blended in with the black on the painting, better than brown

i would go for something to contrast it and make it pop a little, like a blue tone. maybe try having a sunburst sort of thing and use different tints. just don't use any dark colors, the subject matter uses a lot of black so that would take away from it.

very good so far, though!

Thx for everything, I was thinking to do a night sky like purple and. Gray on the back with like stars to be really bright

I reckon you could put long, coarse, diagonal brush strokes behind it in varying shades of gray, perhaps with a graduation of dark to light from a bottom corner to the opposite top one.
Just a suggestion though
