If you have scars that are either hard to cover up (like all over your body) or if you have so many that simple excuses dont work then what do you do to go swimming???? I havent thought of any good ideas myself....

Is it for school? At my old school, if you don't have a bathing suit, you just walk or run around the track.

Well, in the summer? Just wear a shirt or rashguard. Many people wear them to protect them from the sum, so it won't seam unusual.

if your swimming in your friend's pool you'd wear a wetsuit?

jesus people

second of all, you made the scars, learn to live with it. you made the conscious choice to cut yourself. you thought that the positives of cutting outweighed the negatives.

this si where, when people ask you, you tell them. so many people are embarassed when they did it to themselves.

and if you are overweight and you wore a shirt, people would make fun of you, and if you were skinny and you wore a shirt, people would be super confused.

I fully agree. You cut yourself, you deal with it.

If I was gonna make a recommendation, I'd say that you were allergic to chlorine.

Wow, the end here was a bit harsh.

But hun, I have no idea what you would do, just don't go swimming I would guess.

Personally all my scars are on my arms, and I don't SI like I used to so they look pretty clean, and if anyone asks about them, I tell them that I got attacked by a porcupine. They don't believe it and they look at me funny, but they don't try to push for more information.

So, I'm sorry I can't really help.

im sorry, but you have to suck it up and learn to live with it. it's a part of you, you have to live with the conciquences.

don't worry i have the same problem, i have cuts all over my arms legs and Stomach and i'm going on holiday with my parents and they don't know anything about it, it's been hard trying to hind it from them for the last 2-3 years but now wearing nothing but a bikini there gonna start asking question. i've purposly stop and not cut for 4 months now and i'm trying to get them to fade but it's so hard but i'm using the holiday as motivation to stop cutting all together, but i know all the scars are going to turn up and be more visable as soon as i get a tan! so anyone help us? any excuses or ways to hind scars

I finally figured something out that works....well for me.... but i tend to dress in an alternative fashion lol i just went in the pool with thigh-high striped sox and told anyone who asked that i was just trying to be differant =) and you could easily wear long gloves in the pool too if the arms were a probem....

Where did he say that he cut himself (I could have misread / not read)? I personally don't go to the beach because it's not within walking distance anymore. Anyways, I'd say you wear a rashguard and some hip, long board shorts.
