Help with getting help?

Im almost positive im ADD/ADHD concerning innattention and impulsivity. I want to get help but nobody really believes me, and when i bring it up they think it is a joke because of my good grades. It takes a LOT for me to focus and it isnt easy but i maintain my 4.0. It really shouldnt take me an hour to read 20 pages in bio when it is taking only a half hour for the other kids. Mind you, this is OUTSIDE of class I CANNOT read anything inside school, i cant get past the first page. I'm not talkative, i just get distracted by air.. :P

Go to a free local clinic. They will check you without a parent's consent.

where would people find these "free local clinics" (just curious)?

Well, you could look it up on the internet, or in your phone book. We have a few of them here. For ThePhantom, I'm sure Atlanta has them.

I'm not big on going behind my parents back. We are all really close.. ;p

Then ask them, and tell them that you really think you need to get it checked out. Bring up some points your brought up here.
