(I'm not sure if this belongs here or in Television/Cinema, but I'm focusing more on the portrayal of asexuality on the show, so I just slapped it here.)
I don't know about any other aces, but I sure am disappointed. House just disproved my valid sexual orientation. When I first heard about this episode and saw a clip, I thought it would be a great source of visibility for the asexual community, but that was not good.
My main issues were:
-asexual=/=not ever having sex and never wanting to
Some aces are sexually active, and that doesn't invalidate their asexuality!
-she pretended to be asexual for a guy
Do I even need to explain my problem with that?
-clearly no one is actually asexual, they must have a tumor or be lying
Excuse me, I am totally healthy and honest.
It's actually really difficult to hold in my anger right now. Damn, maybe I'll return to this rant when I can articulate better.
