I got bored so i got a short story i wrote last year for a writing class. Opionions please.
“Oh my gallium, I locked the keys inside the car again!” said Michael. Angrily he pulled on the handle of his light green Honda but to no avail.
“Well this isn’t a very exquisite turn of events,” Michael muttered to himself. The scientist went back into the lab, and took a lab coat off the hanger in the wooden closet. Then he straightened out the hanger and walked down the stone steps of the lab. He gently slipped the wire through the window “If I have the right trajectory and continue at .002 miles per hour I should be able to latch the wire onto the keys,” he murmured to himself. Mike concentrated on the task he was on, so much that he did not notice an old woman with blue eyes and grey hair descending from the steps of the lab.
She walked up to Michael and asked
“Have you locked your keys in the car again?”
Mike jumped and dropped the wire in the car.
“What do you want!?” Mike yelled turning around. “Oh sorry Mrs. Johnson I didn’t know it was you, boss.”
“Watch your mouth Mr. Roberts if you value your job here.”
“Yes Mam,” he sighed. “Can you help me open the car,” Michael continued.
“Ok, stay right there,” and Mrs. Johnson walked back into the lab.
A few minutes later she came back with a baseball bat. She reared back and took a mighty swing; glass flew everywhere and the car alarm went off.
Mike’s jaw dropped.
“Problem solved,” Mrs. Johnson proclaimed and hopped in her car and drove away before Mike could say anything to her.
