I'm not sure when it started, but it was a few weeks ago. I got a red sploch in my left armpit below my hair, that was really sensitive. I ignored it and it kinda went away after a few days. It was still there, just less red and sensitive. It still stung when I would put my deodorant on. Kinda like dry skin. Now, a few weeks later, I was mildly annoyed that it was still there, so I tried putting some neosporin on it, to see if it would help. I left it overnight, and it just made it all red again. I'm not sure if I can post a picture of my armpit on here, so that's the best description I can give. My armpits are also always sweaty, but I don't know how that would make one rashy and not the other. Any ideas?

I'll redirect my friend who's good at medical stuffs here.
But from what I personally now, if it's a rash/irritation from sweat, making sure to shower every night should help. If a deodorant is to strong, maybe try a little bit of Baby Powder. A lot of deodorants have anti-perspiration stuff, but they can also be very harsh to already irritated skin.

It could be the deodorant you're using. Try switching brands and see if that helps

First off what you need to do is wash the area really good and then pat, PAT, it dry with a clean towel every time. MILD soap is key so it does not dry the skin out causing it to crack and possibly spread the rash....
I would try to not apply any deodorant to it for a few days because the deodorant will actually dry out the skin more and can cause redness and itching....
Something you could do is after you get out of the shower and dry off you can put some hydrocortson cream on it, or some Neosporin to help reduce the itching a redness that is caused but he rash, also you can go to the local pharmacy and talk to the pharmacist and they can recommend something to you....
Let me know if you need anything, I am here to help....

It's the same deodorant I've been using for years. And it's not an antiperspirant. Just plain deodorant. I doubt it's the deodorant, because my other armpit is fine, and I barely get any deodorant on top of the rash. I would try not wearing deodorant, but I get BO if I go more than an hour without putting deodorant on. It's because I'm always sweaty.

I used the same deodorant for a few years, and out of nowhere I became very sensitive to it - changing deodorants fixed the problem very quickly. So I wouldn't rule that out.

Exactly, this is why I change to a new deodorant every time I get a new one, or a different sent....I hated it when I would get rashes, also when I wear one for an extended amount of time for some reason my body hates it and it doesn't do its job much....i would switch, change is GOOD

It was difficult for me to find a deodorant that wasn't an antiperspirant and kept me from smelling. Took me like 4 kinds to find one that kept me from smelling at the end of the day. Oh well, back to guessing I guess. Lol.
