I haven't had one since I was 13..
But when I got it they did the usual (temperature, blood pressure, all that kind of stuff.)
And then they just felt me up down there for a few seconds.. and that was it. I didn't have to take my pants off or anything like that:)

Ive been going to the doctor for all my life. They started feeling in the pubic area since I was about 12. I have to pull my shorts down and get a hernia exam now, and thats been since I was 15.

I guess there really isn't a set age for getting a physical. Alot of people get them for sports though. I have gotten like 4 physicals before and they were all different as far as what they checked and such. Although all did involve me dropping my pants.

I've gotten a physical every other year for as long as I can remember. Plus at my high school you need to get one to play a sport and one physical lasts two years. So I'll need to get two throughout high school. But as I've gotten older, they've been a bit more extensive. They consist of the usual weight, height, blood pressure, throat and ear check.... Then on top of that, he feels my balls for a couple seconds each to make sure I don't have testicular cancer. And he does the cough check for hernia. Luckily, my doctor does not make me take all my clothes off. I spend the entire check up in my underwear and when it comes time for me to be checked, I stand up and pull my pants down for the 10 seconds that it takes for him to examine my genitals. That way, I don't have time to get a boner because I get turned on by being naked in front of others. I know for a fact that some doctors have you naked the entire time!

I've never had a physical exam but our whole football team had to have a drug test and they watched us to make sure we werent cheating. it was awkward

I've been going for physical for as long as I can remember and beyond so I really have had any trouble!! That also might be because the doctors a guy but who knows!

ask your dad if you can go with him to his physical exam. then you'll know what to expect for yours.

All They Do Is The Regular Stuff ; Blood Pressure && Temperature. . Things Like That . . Then They Go "Down There" For Just Like a few Seconds . .

apart from the basics any physical will depend on your medical history and any probs you have had and maybe the sports or job you do. So the basics would be for young guys - blood test, urine test, older guys may have a fecal sample, height weight, spine check, joints and joint flexibility - testicle check cough thing, they would check hearing,eysight, colour vision. lung capacity where you blow into a meter tube and they can see how your lungs function.

I've had a sports physical the last couple of years. The doctor just checks out your health history and how your are doing now. He will check your testicles for cancer and check you for hernia. I spend most the the checkup in my boxers and then drop my shorts for the rest. I have an appointment coming up in a couple of weeks. Wish me luck.

It's no big deal. All part of keeping yourself healthy. just go with it, there's really nothing the dr hasn't seen or examined before.

i guess you dont play sports. it's on the sports physical form and if you refuse it then the doc can't sign off on the form. it's not that bad.
