Do you like sports? If so, please tell me why. I'm rather interested and would love to get some people's opinions on the subject.

I love sports! I'm a really athletic guy and feel wrong being lazy! I play football, basketball, and martial arts. Love them all and couldn't live without them! Not sure exactly what you're asking but hope this helps! :D
And I'm the first post, yay :yeah:

Yeah. It keeps me going and gets me tired enough to sleep at night (or my sleep cycle gets fucked and I become drowsy all day)
Definitely a good way to chill out too, meet people, train and work towards something. The only thing that has set me back are injuries though, which has taken me out of competitive soccer and hockey. I still play them for fun, but I've started to focus on tennis which is going great.

sports are awesome! It helps to motivate me in school to keep my grades up and helps me to stay in good physical shape. I know if I didnt have sports when I was younger and now, I probably would have gotten into alot of trouble...well a hell of alot more trouble than I do now. LOL. I play hockey basketball and hey @shadowhunter320 I been getting into martial arts too!

I have nothing against sports, and I've seen people close to me make some very positive, effective changes in their lives because of various athletic activities. Personally, you'd never see me playing a sport that involves a ball of any kind, or at least not for longer than 7 minutes/first injury. I have been repeatedly traumatized by sports, mostly due to others in elementary/middle school laughing at me when I fail or being reluctant to have me on their team. But there was a period when I was misguided and thought that (A) the most important thing in life was others' approval and that (B) being good at sports was the way to do so, lest I become one of the grubby people you find under bridges. During this period I trained myself physically in order to become basically THE BEST EVER. I jogged regularly, biked up hills, lifted weights, and punched a sack that my peers in the weight room had dressed up to look like our principal [who was a bitch]. I got strong, I was fit, and I was above all; confident.
One day I'd decided that I would show those who'd laughed at me previously how good I'd become. So I decided to try some football, the season for which was about to start up and the tryouts were in progress. We got about a fourth of the way through the first quarter and the coach decided he had other things to do than watch the game. Apparently everyone picked up on this except for me, and thus the rules had changed a little. Things got more violent, boundaries were ignored, and lines forgotten. I started getting very annoyed at the constant smudging of the rules. I decided to bear with it, and tried to stay as true to the rules as possible while still keeping up with everyone else. Eventually someone was kind enough to pass me the ball while I had a clear shot to the goal, and I went for it. Everything immediately turned on me, the spotlight hadn't just been turned on and focused, someone had superglued the lightbulb to my head. I booked it and made it there with inches between the guy behind me and I. I felt overjoyed at the fact that not only did we manage to get a point, but that it had been me who'd done the deed.
Some kid from the opposing team piped up with "That's the wrong side!" I was confused, as the coach had obviously pointed to this side, telling us it was 'ours'. The kid came over and explained the fact that 'our' goal had to be defended, while 'their' goal was the one we were trying to get a touchdown on. I immediately socked him in the face due to pure, blind rage.
The school's lone security guard had just happened to be walking by saw this. I was feeling pretty good about myself for being able to take another student down, though the feeling lasted for about 3.7 seconds, because it took me exactly that long to notice the security guard sprinting at me like his ass was on fire and his hair was catching.
This is the main reason I don't play sports: fear of understanding rules incorrectly. The second reason sadly doesn't have an entertaining story to attach to it, it being that in almost every sport involving a ball I've played, I've gotten horribly injured. Tennis ball to the eye, football point-blank to the stomach, basket ball to the head, Frisbee to the head, soccer ball to the nuts, etc. etc.
I no longer play sports, nor do I feel any real compulsion to exercise regularly. I find it quite enjoyable to play video games, sleep in, and eat junk food. I still have enough strength to take someone out in one hit, though I'm too lazy to really do it :/

I actually do like sports when I'm playing with family or friends. Organized sports just bore me.

I'm not "athletic," but I do like some sports in moderation, especially, swimming, martial arts, dancing and moshing.
Some kids absolutely hayte sports and I can totally understand why, but I'm not quite so empathetic towards the jocks, so if anyone cares to explain that on this thread that would be great :D

I think sports are great. They're a great way to meet people your own age outside of a school context, they're fun, they help you sleep at night, they are a good way to release energy. They're also a good way to build character and develop skills and life lessons that you can take with you for your entire life. It also keeps you healthy and allows your body to stay in shape and gain a nice form and muscles. It's really a fun way to pass the time and I recommend it to everyone. Just don't abandon school and other aspects of your life to play sports, after all, it's school that's going to get you somewhere in life.

I absolutely love sports!<3 My favorite is running!(: The reason I like sports is because of the competition, and being able to show that I can be just as good as boys. I am the most athletic in my family, and play basketball, cross country, and dancing!(:
