I have been diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder and OCD.
If anyone says anything to me, most usually when it is an upsetting comment to me, or i think something that is important to me, i HAVE to say it 16 times. It is said in my head in 4 lots of 4. If i get a word wrong or mispronounced or someone interrupts, i have to start all over again right from the very beginning. In an hour, i would say i have at least 50+ thoughts that i have to say 16 times each.
If i do not say them (which i feel unable to even to try not say them) I get so anxious that it turns into a hyperventalating panic attack.
The thing is, i HATE having to do this, but i do not know how to stop and of all the many medications i have tried, none have worked. I do DBT therapy (dialectical behaviour therapy) but that is only for Borderline Personality Disorder.
