Horror-Just gore,blood,etc.
Thriller-Good story line,suspense.
I like thrillers more they keep me at the edge of my seat just waiting for the next thing to happen.

I usually don't watch either, but if I had to pick it would be thriller, because there's usually no blood & guts, which I absolutely hate. It's not even scary, it's just disgusting.

I like physological thrillers, like The Ward, Orphan, Carrie and Misery.
And i also like gruesome horrors like the Saw Series.

Pretty much this. I'd take a good psychological thriller over a slasher film any day. Even the psychological horror films I still like. I like twists and storylines that get under your skin and keep you up all night :D That's one exact reason my therapist thinks I'm so fucked up though. Overexposure to horror films. I hate mirrors, televisions, wells, showers, etc. They've turned me into a complete paranoid.
I don't always watch gore-filled films, but when I do, the blood needs to be squirting everywhere.

in defence of horror films.
Horror =\= Slasher films.
There are tons of different styles and subgenres of horror films.
They are not always blood and gore-deranged evil guy chasing teenagers with a butcher knife kind of films.
And on this basic understanding I pick Horror.
Horror is not necessarily there to scare you, but there to vex you or disturb you.

Anything with Gore.
It's not fun until somebody dies.

I completely agree. That's what I look forward to when I I watch a horror.

Thriller basically does the same thing, but Horror uses different conventions.
