What does whey protein do for you vs. just eating chicken? How much more muscles do you get after doing whey protein vs. just eating a chicken breast? Lastly...
So I know that when you have abs you should have pecs. Which in working on. But you knw when super fit guys have abs and pecs showing they always have parts of there ribs show. Are the obliques over the ribs and does exercising them help your ribs show more? What are visible ribs a sign of (with abs and pecs)?

It could be because whey protein is a simple protein not a complex one, it is easier to break it down to use it....

im in the gym 6 days a week for lax. when ever i feel like i have done a big workout, i have a protein shake with like 40g of protein. protein has nothing to do with simple or complex, it just an organic molecule that helps your muscles. after working out, your cells will become damaged naturally. your body will use protein to repair them. when repairing them, they are being made better. your body also uses proteins to create more muscle cells, hence, larger muscles. some kids really get swole on whey protein. be careful not to take too much though, and drink 2x the water and eat some more carb and protein rich foods on your normally would on workout days

slightly does have something to do between simple and complex proteins. Protein itself takes a long time to be digested as it needs to go through several steps before it can be broken down into amino acids and reassembled to proteins that your body can use. The timing in how fast it can be broken and reassembled is important after a work out. In fact the first 30 mins after working out are crucial in replenishing what is used/damaged while working out. Another good reason to use just whey protein compared with chicken is the amount of fat it would provide as well as the possibility of hormones or toxins that are introduced into the chicken. Also...regardless of how much protein you take, there is only so much that your body will absorb at one time. Which is why it is recommended to take several protein rich meals a day that add up to your weight in grams (ex...150 lb person takes 150g of protein in a day split between 7-8 meals a day)...
I too was a varsity athlete and I attend the University of California: Davis studying for a BS in Biological Sciences with a possibility with an emphasis in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior.

Muscles are damaged after a workout even though the workout will eventually make you stronger ; you need the protein to rebuild them. Whey protein is more easily absorbed.
