Okay, so as the title suggests, I'm rather confused at my lack of reaction to the appearance of my new boyfriend. He's pretty much perfect for me, physically attractive and very similar personalities. I'm wondering, why am I not completely ecstatic about this? I'm certain this is all I've wanted for a long time, and i was expecting a bit more of a reaction, so does anyone have any possible reasons? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Are you saying that you're disappointed or you're just not reacting as positively as you thought you would? If it's the latter I'd say that you've reached the next level of openness about your sexuality and the emotion that you experienced from hiding it has subsided. Are you both out of the closet?

If you don't love him deeply quite yet and you're wondering why, it takes time to love someone. When you talk and learn about each other and share experiences, it creates a bond which is very hard to break. Give it time and connect with him, support each other and be there when you need each other. Love is a process.

Good luck;)

Sorry, that sounded corny but it is the truth.

maybe you enjoy the chase more than being with a guy. Knowing you can be with that guy, maybe now you want to go for another guy that's more whatever you like. More athletic, taller handsome etc. So you might just want to see if you can upgrade and you can always go back to your current bf

@gordo there's literally no one i'd rather be with at the moment, I was just wondering i wasn't getting the lovey dovey ectasy feeling everyone talks about when their first in love.
