Drinking, why do you?

Why do you guys drink? And what do you drink? Do you get hangovers?
My anwser: Just to get away from reality its always great to poor your feelings out to the washer while your sitting inside of it :)
Its usually southern comfort straight, at times ill mix it with coke.
I have never got a hangover... and iv drank half a bottle of southern comort and 4 beers. The next day i get up and work? O.o

I shouldn't drink, I've been told for medical reasons i shouldn't be drinking at all but recently i've kind of ignored that. I drink to block things out. It prevents me from doing other more damaging things.

I drink to relax, have a good time, and just escape reality. I'll drink mostly Pinnacle, Smirnoffs, or Captain Morgan, both straight and mixed.

I haven't gotten drunk enough to experience a hangover.

I drink mostly on special occasions because that's the only time I have access to alcohol. I'm an opportunistic drinker... I go for it when it's given to me. I probably shouldn't drink because almost 50% of my family are alcoholics or have alcoholic tendencies which does not show a nice future for me if I were to start drinking heavily.

I don't have any bad experiences really... or hangovers. I tend to drink an equal amount of water or more because I find that alcohol can be very dry and makes me thirsty anyway.

Iv had three bad expeirences..
I started dating this girl, and we had been dating about a month and we decided to get drunk. She got really drunk and started crying and everything.. it was akward lol.
Then my bro in law was flriting with my gfs best friend and grabbed her boob
Annd finally almost got in a fight with a 40 y.o guy lol.. he was in my face, it was intense, i was pumped and drunk and i wanted to fight!

I drink because everyone else is. And then when they are, I find myself drinking to get drunk. There's really no other reason to do it for me. I don't like alcohol, and everyone in my family has been an alcoholic at some point in life, so I avoid it. I don't ever want to gain that dependency people get for it.

I drink because I don't like life very much, and it offers an escape. I've gotten minor hangovers. I've stopped though, and as of now I don't plan to drink in the future. I've had to prevent my friend from killing herself while she was drunk, and am completely disillusioned by it. It's not worth it.

I don't drink anymore (I'm underage), but when I did, it was out of sheer curiosity.

Now, my first drinking experience wasn't just a few sips. I was 13, and I had so many shots of straight vodka (bad idea...) that I threw up. Twice. However, the feeling before it was certainly interesting.

My reason for drinking was probably rather strange, but I honestly just wanted to know what everyone was saying was so great. Once I had tried it, I thought "huh... that was fine." and didn't really do it again.

Ehh I like a beer when hanging out with my friends, rum and coke at a party if I want to actually get drunk. I've only been drunk a dozen or so times, I just prefer pot to alc because of it's non addictive characteristics. My mom's in AA, so I've heard a lot of horror stories to make me extra careful. Plus driving high is still possible, drunk driving is just asking to get yourself or another human being killed. Plus you can't do homework or think much drunk.

But back to the basis of the question, I drink because it's a social thing. I like it for sure, just not really into it.

i drink cuz i enjoy it(i use to use alcohol as a crutch) now i like pot better but both i dont do constantly anymore when i drink i love VODKA and peppermint scnopps i love rum and beer i like most alcohol lol and no i found a cure for hangovers to prevent them

I used to drink for a good time, let shit out and have fun with my friends. Draank pretty much wat ever was in my hand, no prefrinces just drank to get drunk. Wasnt a alchohalic or anything, got drunk like once a month. I stopped for a while, i almost died once. Had 50 shots of hundered proof vodka in 20 minutes, blacked out, woke up in the hospital. It was scary. I woulda died if not for the hospital helping me, my blood was so thin wen the put an iv in me my blood just poured out like crazy. I dont remember any of this, but i got the blood stains on my clothes to proove it. My body was shuttung down and i wasnt breathing on my own. I couldnt turn my head without vommiting. It scared the SHIT outa me. So i stopped for a while. Now i drink lightly cuz i like the taste and a slight buz. Itll be a while before i get shit faced again lol. So um, take it easy? i didnt even realise how much i was drinking.

I do if it's 11 at night and I am having good time and want a great time. Or I want to dull reality for a few hours. As for hangovers, Me and my gf were hanging out and she said to watch this show, she left . Afew hours later my parents were asleep so I had a Black Iguana and got drunk as a skunk. Woke up the next morning to my gf say "wake up dumass"
She new I watched Netflix and was asking me what I had watched, I said that I could not remember. She said "were you drunk"? I really did not rember drinking at first but figured it you when I saw the empty Black Iguana and realized I had a hangover. A few hours later I remembered the whole night.

Nah but really, I just like alcohol. It calms me, and I feel like I can really enjoy the rest of the day when I've had something to drink. It used to pot, but since that's gone, it's been alcohol.

Honestly a couple times I would eat, then throw up, then go drink, adding alcohol + empty stomach + sick, I knew at the time i shouldn't but i'll be all like "it makes it happen so much faster".

I haven't gotten a hangover yet because my liver is still strong and I drink lots of water at least.

I have browned out (not a total loss of the night, i lost bits and peices of the night).

I drink because it's fun, I was raised in a perfect home with 2 parents and rarely seen an argument, nice income after about age 8, nice neighborhood, no trauma in my life, basically all I have is 1st world rich kid problems like "wah she doesn't like me" or whatever.

so no emotional aspect to my drinking.

but best thing for quiting drinking is being broke, I have no money XD

I drink to forget, if im drunk all im focused on is having a good time not everything thats getting me down. I do it to stop me from doing anything stupid and to stop me hurting. It gives me that escape for a bit.
