So ever since I started cutting I have felt the need to cut more or deeper or in different places like my arms. I think that cutting is loosing its effect on me and I feel the need to do more damage to recieve the effects. Not good.

Honestly, cutting can be a lot like a drug. In some ways, it is. However, you're on the right track by admitting that this isn't good. Doing worse can be pretty bad. You could cut too deep, end up in a hospital, lose too much blood, permanently damage your nerves, etc. You don't want any of those things to happen.
Try writing. Writing about the urges and what you need to do to get the same effect can help quite a bit and by getting it all out, often you don't need to cut anymore. Have you tried any alternative coping methods?

I know exactly what you mean. The longer you cut the more used to the pain you become, the more and deeper the cuts become. I realized this after at least 40-50 cuts on my thigh and 30-35 on my arm in one session. Trust me, unless you stop or at least cut down, it will get much worse.
If you don't feel you're ready to stop outright, you could set smaller goals. Things like "No cuts for 3 days", or "No more than 5 cuts a week". Then start making the goals bigger until you feel you can stop completely. I also recommend checking out the Butterfly Project (http://www.recoveryourlife.com/index.php?categoryid=148) I know it's really helped me.
If you need someone to talk to, I am always here and I'll do my best to help :)
