When I have school, I go to bed at 11, wake up at 6. Do you think alot before you go to bed? My aunt told me a great way to fall asleep, focus your mind on one particular thing, like your arm, just think about it and eventually you should fall sleep? Now it doesnt nesscary have to be your arm of course

There are many ways to go about something like this:

take to your physician about this
eat more carbohydrates, pastas and breads and also turkey, they contain triptophen and can help you relax and sleep
talk to your local pharmacist, they can recommend you something

if you drink caffeine, cut that out of your diet, it makes a HUGE difference, also no midnight snacks. Also don't go taking Ambien or something, a guy at my school couldn't get to sleep one night and freaking overdosed.

The other day, my mom bought me this special tea. It's called chamomeal. It tastes like shit, but man I'm out in a good..... 10 minutes. Either that kind, or peppermint.

2 hours before you sleep turn off all electrical things like TV and computer and don't use them, read a book or something and it will calm you down.
I know this sounds weird but its what i've been told. don't read or go on your laptop when sitting on your bed, sit on the floor or on a chair that way when you get into bed your brain will know you want to sleep, i don't know if that made any sense but oh well.

Before you take any kind of sleeping pill, I would try to see if there is anything you could do in your routine to fix the issue.

- If you drink caffeine, try to stay away from it for a little while.

- If you tend to eat past 8:30 or 9 o'clock, try to break that habit. It can keep you up while your stomach is digesting your food.

- Watching TV or being on the computer directly before bed can also be a contributer to keeping you up. Electronic devices that give off light emit a certain type of like called 'blue light'. The blue light is not visible, but it triggers your brain to emit chemicals that tend to keep you awake. After hearing about this I actually took all electronics that give off light out of my room (including TV and computer) - and I haven't had trouble sleeping since.

- Try to lay down a little early sometimes and just relax, let your thoughts run wild. Its good to let yourself unwind and just relax without and worries.

- Stress can also attribute to lack of sleep. If you find yourself to be under heavy stress a lot of the time - try some breathing exercises to calm you down. It can help a lot.

- Tea can also be very relaxing. But if you are going to drink it in the evening, MAKE SURE IT IS DECAFFEINATED

My band teacher told me that I shouldn't do anything at all in my bedroom but sleep. So, no tv, no computer, nothing.

yeah that won't happen.

Its actually true. I don't hangout in my bedroom anymore because I use it just for sleeping.
