A Delta IV rocket is due to launch tonight from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station tonight. The payload is the fourth installment of the Wideband Global Satellite Communication (WGS) system. These satellites help our troops serving overseas providing enhanced communications for them.
The launch window opens at 7:38PM (eastern US time) and goes until 9:11PM.
For more information on the satellite, rocket, launch pad, and whatnot, here's the source: http://www.ulalaunch.com/site/docs/missionbooklets/DIV/div_wgs4_mob.pdf
For those of you who aren't able to see the launch from your place, they have a website to watch it online: http://www.ulalaunch.com/site/pages/Multimedia_Webcast.shtml
I've always thought rocketry stuff was cool, so I thought I'd share with you all what's going on in my back yard tonight. Peace! :D
