So, women can detect hormonal secretions subconsciously in order to choose the best partner with the least similar genetic code.

The gaydar as we know it survives based on gay stereotypes and personalities. What if the theory of "the gaydar" goes deeper than that? What if gays emit and detect "gay" hormonal secretions? This would allow us to "detect" other people that we are interested in having a relationship with. Some people say damn it, I'm always falling for straight people. What is the hormones say they're gay?

Is this possible? Do you think something like this exists?

Individuals who identify as gay have the same hormones as the rest of the world.

Maybe.

Your neutralness, we have a beige alert!

True, but it has been speculated that there are different balances of the hormones that are given off. If these hormones do have something to do with attraction in straight people, wouldn't it make sense that the same hormones are at work for the same purpose in gays?

After all for someone who is gay, it wouldn't make sense for you to be deeply attracted to someone that is straight. I'm not just talking about physical attractiveness or personality compatibility. Is there a subconscious force at work?

I think if anything personality and coincidence are the only things coming close to a "gaydar"

Sounds like bullshit. I'm a camp guy, that's often mistaken for gay as girls always come and talk to me. Theres only one pretty accurate way of seeing someones sexuality. Sit down in a cafe, and watch their eyes. If a guy look at a guy walk in for more than a second, he may be homosexual, or the same with a girl. That's just one way, though. Many people argue its a stupid way.

Eh. I can't deny it for lack of evidence but with my sexuality theories it doesn't really work in my head. I personally don't think sexuality is determined by DNA or hormones. My experiences lead me to think it's a mixture of personality and environment, with a few biological things such as the study about brothers and the probability of future sons to be gay. But I also think that's largely to do with the environment aspect.

If you're observant enough, yeah, there are ways to figure it out. Only this may be the opposite as well. If you tried that on me, you'd get the reverse results. I'm just careful not to stare in general, but you'd see me looking at a pretty girl for a shorter period than I'd look at a guy. I'd probably steal more looks at the girl though, they'd just be very short looks as to not be obvious.
