HI, im new here so if i mess up something, sry. So, i know im a lil over weight but i dont tink im obese. i am 17, 6'2 200 lbs. Im not super athletic but i go to the gym in town for atleast an hour 3-4 times a week. im trying to get to 180 but my friends say that would be too skinny for my frame size. So basically what im asking is is 200 lbs a healthy weight or what is a healthy weight for my size?

Here (http://www.cdc.gov/healthyweight/assessing/bmi/adult_bmi/english_bmi_calculator/results_overweight.html?pounds=200&inches=74) is your BMI result: 25.7, which equals obese.
Go here (http://apps.nccd.cdc.gov/dnpabmi/Result.aspx?&dob=1/1/1995&dom=1/1/2012&age=204&ht=74&wt=200&gender=1&method=0&inchtext=0&wttext=0) for more detailed information.
I think you could easily achieve that weight if you try hard enough.

Don't listen to bmi calculators. They don't factor in muscle mass. Dice theyvdonball of those professional bodybuilders are considered "obese" from bmi but you can tell they are in shape.
6 2 200 sounds pretty average to me

But in this case, I am assuming the OP is not a bodybuilder, nor does he (no offense at all to the OP, but you never gave info, this is my default thought) have that much muscle mass if he wants to lose weight.
Generally, it would be a different question if it were concerning gaining muscle.
Am I correct OP?

It is fine to use if you are just checking generally on your weight, and not trying to gain a substantial amount of muscle mass.

200 is a fine weight. Weight has less of a factor if you dont exercise. But you do. 180 would be way too skinny

None taken, i know i am a lil "fluffy" but i just want to slim down and have a healthier lifestyle but i dont want to get extreemly skinny and look anorexic. i used to be even heavier but then i started being a little more active and started eating less. I just want to lose weight and be healthy, any suggestions on a sure fire way to lose weight faster? I.E. exercises etc.

Start here (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/showthread.php?t=20321).
And of course, nothing is "surefire" unless you really work on yourself, but if you try hard enough, you'll be happy with the results.
