My parents haven't gotten it yet, my dad drives a Jaguar currently but we have to wait till either May or next year. Theirs about a 20% possibility of it not happening at all. Because my dad is helping to open a company that will soon be on wall street. So theirs a 20% chance of it not happening but theirs an 80% chance of it happening.

Around $450,000-$600,000. It truly is a beautiful car. But I think the Maybach is cooler, especially cause it has it's own refrigerator and sun roof that can be switched so it can have all the light from the sub come in or none at all.

Maybach is just about gone though, Merc's gonna dump it and put it all into a flagship S-Class.

That said, I'm not old enough to appreciate old man luxury. That means STI, RS250, GTR, 911-GT3, 458 Italia, Gransport and TT-RS, one for every day of the week, and an F-150 for work. :D

Lightweight aluminum chassis makes everything light, treehuggers have gotten rid of true wooden trim and the plasticky vinyl we get nowadays just isn't up to it. Then there's all this modern safety requirements cuz there are more asians getting on the roads - go sit in a 60s Rolls or Maybach and sit in a new one and you'll see the difference it makes.

Maybach is losing so much money for DC, and since technology is being handed down nowadays (Little Fords come with AM, Volvo, Jag/LR parts and components) everything is declining. A LWB S-Class with heaps of crazy, out of this world options would be more viable than a separate model, engine and everything.

Maybach has been nothing but a money pit for Diamler, they do not know how to run a company other than Mercedes. :P Maybach is done for, not permantley but with Diamler for sure.

Given my Dad's family was too poor to even send him to school, and they lived in a one-room apartment and ate just rice or potatoes 7 days a week, I'm happy with where we are right now :P

That's cool that your dad got so far! I was originally born in US, but moved when I was young to England. My great grandparents came over from Sicily and they ate very inexpensive food, my papa dropped out of school after 8th grade to work for the family.

I like Audis, I'd want either a White CLS550 Mercedes or a white Audi, I don't really know any of their models but it'd be a sports type car I'd want, or an suv I like the look of their SUVs (other than Lexus)

New cars are quite uncommon in the whole of New Zealand pretty much, we have an aging fleet averaging 14 years old. I wouldn't show off.
