Anyone else here a hardcore fan of metal( all or any types of it) and anyone who finds themselves, like me listening to music 25, 8?
And on the side which types do you like? And your favourite bands?

I like: grunge, thrash, industrial, heavy, death, deathcore, emocore, progressive, power and pirate metal :P

And my favourites are: bullet for my Valentine, avenged sevenfold, korn, slipknot, five finger death punch, escape the fate, psyclon 9, bmth, children of bodom and alestorm

I love metal but I really don't like post-hard core, death, black or scream at all.

The heaviest I'd go would probably be Slipknot, SOAD or KSE and that's not heavy at all.

My favourite metal bands are: DragonForce, Iron Maiden, Disturbed, KSE, SOAD, Metallica, AC/DC and Slipknot.

But my favourite musical artist is Buckethead \m/

I could never ONLY listen to Dream Theater. The fact that I can think of every part of Octavarium in my head already drives me insane.

I like a bit of industrial and progressive. That's about all I see us having in common.

There's plenty of progressive bands out there other than Dream Theater. I'd say that Dream Theater is a very VERY small piece to a big puzzle when it comes to progressive music.

Nice man. I'd recommend stoner metal too!

Mother - Teacher - Destroyer is a great album. I'd definitely suggest you check it out. Absolutely love the music.

The beginning of this song was slightly unexpected, at least for me :P. This is more psychedelic oriented but I think a few songs from the album Psychonaut can fall under metal. Either way, check it out.

This is slightly more typical and quintessential of the stoner genre alongside Dopethrone and Stoner Kebab.

Also check out Dead to a Dying World, I don't think they are Stoner metal but they're good too.

It's always groovy to see metalheads.

Pantera... Black Label Society...
Everyone mentions the obvious choices (which they're obvious because they're good) but not any of the classics that may not be so well known :/
Both of these bands have/had great guitarists, and make some really good songs.

I've heard of FFDP but only one song - they're cover of Bad Company. Anyone want to suggest some good songs?

Unfortunately I don't get to listen to much heavy metal, my dad hates it, and subsequently me listening to it -.-

I've strangely gotten into Of Mice & Men lately. But other than that same old stuff. Periphery, Animals As Leaders, Blessthefall, As I Lay Dying, In This Moment, TesseracT, In Flames, The Word Alive, Sevendust, Rise To Remain.

That's what's roaming on my iPod.

I love all this stuff. Particularly Asking Alexandria, motionless in white, bmth, i set my friends on fire. I do enjoy a lot of the bands yall named as well. I don't really bother with all the genres and sub-genres but I would gladly listen to anything metal ;)

You can't talk about stoner metal without mentioning the great Monster Magnet!

Hmm, talking about progressive metal, Tool is a very good song with esoteric lyrics. Very good.
