Unless some of us are doctors, we can't really tell you, but I've never heard that being obese effects puberty. Also, I don't think you mentioned your age... Just saying.... :)

Once you hit puberty and your growth spurt, you'll lose the weight and things will change. I think you're just a last bloomer
