any advice on asking a girl out?

I really like this girl but I don't really speak to her at school besides in lessons how should I go about telling her? And I don't have much self confidence so don't suggest just telling her in front of everyone

don't tell her, just ask her to do something after school like mall, homework, pizza or invite her and one of her friends over and one of your buddies.
