I'm fourteen, and I think I might be ready to start dating, but I'm not really sure. I've had a couple boyfriends in the past, but neither of the relationships became serious or lasted long, and it was more like just being really close friends. I don't know if I'm ready for dating, but I don't know how to tell if I am, either. Any advice?

Well it depends. Can you be there for your guy when he goes through tough times? Can you open up to him? Can you remain faithful? Can you respect him, regardless of the things you hate about him?

If you're unsure, you might not be ready. You'll most likely know for sure when you are. But no one is stopping you - if you want to date, date.

Well, I know that I can do all of this stuff, it's more of the fact that I don't know if I'm ready to go on dates and kiss or anything like that. I like to see having a boyfriend at this age as more of a casual hang out date type of thing, not go out by ourselves or anything.

well depends on the guy really. some guys wanna have a serious/formal relationship, others will be casual.

maybe if ya have to ask your self if you're ready, you arent.

Why press your self? not a lot of dating going on actually. hangin' out, hookin up, friends with benefits are normal too.

When you will be ready you won't question yourself, you will know that you want to be with this person no matter what!
