Virtual Teen Should Have A RPG Game. What Would Boost Popularity To The Forums And Most Teenagers Play Video Games. So It's A win-win. :yeah:

Um NO...
I might be more fond of the idea when you type more than three sentences
I'd like to see you develop and pay for all of this..
Not needed, nor justified.

Well lets put money and development costs aside.
This is a help forum and it is rather popular without the need for anything like this.
Overall it would of helped if u had given a little more info on how you would do this or are you just coming up with something you gave only 2 seconds of thought too?

One, if you want to role play find another forum for it. Not that hard dude I did.
And two, you still can add information it's not too late to try and argue your point if you so desire.

This forum isn't run to gain popularity. It's run to help people. Adding a role play game will most likely just add users who aren't going to contribute to the main purpose of the forum. As others have said this is a help forum and a game would not be relevant.
Plus as others have said, money would be quite an issue.

Wait why would an RPG game cost anything?
It is time for VT to become, somewhat more universal. This forum was founded as a help forum but now it has all these member forums, all the rambling and arcade forums, it wouldn't hurt to have an RPG thread.

^what Cengiz said. a RPG game won't cost anything.
you can create a RPG game(s). just post in the VT arcade or a diary if you have one. it won't be like actual RPG games but you can still create them

If you want, you can make your own RPG game. It probably won't be endorsed by VirtualTeen, as we are a help site.
Now you will need to think about the game itself. "An RPG" is somewhat vague. What will be the story? The setting?
Also, development will also be something to think about. What will you use to write it in? Keep in mind that many of the proprietary tools are only for one or two systems, and you would likely exclude a large portion of your audience. You should also be comfortable with making the source public. I try to avoid software without a source package and/or a digital signature. Don't expect any money for it, either.
Good luck with it anyways.

Well Guys I Thought It Might Be A Good Idea. And Some People Need To Learn The Meaning Of The Word SUGGESTION.
sug·gest (sg-jst, s-jst)
tr.v. sug·gest·ed, sug·gest·ing, sug·gests
1. To offer for consideration or action; propose: suggest things for children to do; suggested that we take a walk.
It Doesnt Mean They Have To Do It.

I understand what suggestion means. The problems are.
We'd get so many hackers.
It'd need to be maintained by coders 24/7.
Would take months to code in Java etc and would cost a bomb.
People who find this site are people who need help with something. Not to tear peoples hearts apart. :) Good idea. It wouldn't work though. However Keep at it Lord Sugar :D

it's doesn't have to be that way. you can just create a topic, create story and all that

There is no need for it, this is mostly meant to be a help forum. Sure, there are a few areas that aren't really for getting help or advice, but its to be expected. As said already, it would just mean people making accounts to play it and never contribute to the forums in any way. Not the worst idea, just not a very good one either. Besides, who would want to put the time into doing it and working out the bugs?

VirtualTeen RPG eh... we all know who I would be..

Anyway, I agree with what has been said. It is not at all possible to do and it doesn't fit the website theme anyway

This a teen help site, and really has absolutely no reason to have this.
I am not denying that you cant, but it is just impractical for this board.

By all means, go for it.
Again, it won't be endorsed by VirtualTeen though.

I see im not the only one whos a fan of Conker :D
I actualy know the lyrics to this off by heart :D
Anyway back onto the topc;
I also dont think that this would be a good idea as like everyone else is saying, while a large part of this site is about general discussion and fun, this is still a self help site. Plus theres the costs and the time limit and all that.

What is your point? That sounds pretty condraditory, you like the idea, but you don't like it for the site even though our general discussions has a wide variety of choices and fun things to do, we wouldn't and shouldn't want this forum to be all doom and gloom. It's a place to get help and to have fun games to play and vibrant discussions. It's a lot more open ended.

I never said I liked the idea, when I said that I agreed with what has been said I meant that I agreed with most of the arguments against it. I wasnt very clear sorry :)
I suppose your right about the site part. However I think that if we have a major game plastered all over the site, it may distract people from the original goal of the site, and that it may distract new people and get them to sign up just for the game and not the community in general.
Plus, it would require money and a lot time to make.
