16 sounds like a good age to me. By the way, dude, it's about how the cologne smells on you. So, you might want to try some out and see which ones you like best. After all, you have to go all day with it on. ;)

I've tried Axe and Old Spice. I prefer Old Spice original deodorant. It just smells cleaner to me.

I like Lynx deoderant, any of them except chocolate or africa, but it's personal preference really.

I've never even used cologne, but a few of the guys in school used to at your age, so I guess thats perosnal prefernce as well lol.

I like old spice the best. It doesn't have a strong smell like axe, but it keeps you from having B/O.

I wore it two days ago. My ex gf said I smelt funny. My mate said I smelt of bad soap. My classmate said it was strong. In a nutshell I got some negative feed back.

American Eagle, Hollister, Abercrombie cologne are all very... toolish.
Ed Hardy is even worse (holllla' at ya' Joiseee' Shore)

Cologne should be sexy, hot, delicious, provocative but also sophisticated.

I'd HIGHLY recommend the following, I use them all (at separate times of course) and get compliments from girls all the time-

Corduroy by Zirh International- It's pretty inexpensive on Amazon and it's a rich, sexy scent. Girls have come up to me and asked to smell it, I motion them to my neck and they always blush and go in. This is an all day fall and winter scent as well as a nighttime Spring scent. This is for a guy who is masculine, wears the typical clothes of a high school guy, but still has an air of sophistication about him.

pure by Custo Barcelona- This scent. Oh my goodness, this scent. It's so sexy, it's hot, it's amazing. It's a light scent with a very little bit of musk for that extra sex appeal. This stuff even makes me horny. Problem is, I only have a sample bottle because I haven't had a chance to order it online... this is a school scent for year round. This is for anyone BUT you need to be confident when wearing or it just doesn't work.

MAN by Custo Barcelona- This is a very light scent. If you've smelled the honeysuckle plant before, it's like the masculine embodiment of that. If you're a macho guy who isn't into designers, do NOT buy this one. Here, if you can name what brand Karl Lagerfeld works for and also name what brand Galliano worked for, you could pull this off.

Exceptional because you are For Men- This is a very wealthy smelling scent. It's not heavy but, at the same time, it's not light. There's a light pepper in the backnotes as well as a musk. If you don't wear sweaters (like the ones that you can wear dress shirts under), don't wear this.

Very Valentino- This one isn't really to attract the ladies per se, but it does show you have taste. It smells like powder and pepper mixed together with sophistication. Anyone can wear this.

Anbar by Comme des Garçons- This is a really, REALLY cool scent. It smells different on everyone (that's how it was designed) but, on me, it smells like how smarties (the candy) taste but with a masculine influence. This is really a scent for spring and summer because of its sweet smell. So long as you don't sag your jeans and you're not gangster in style, you can probably wear this.

My biggest tip is to go a high end mall which contains luxury department stores (Lord & Taylor, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman, Barneys, Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, etc.) and sample all the colognes they have to offer (when you do this, remember to use the sampler cards they provide so you don't smell like a scent bomb). After you've found two or three you like, ask for samples to take home from the sales people behind the counters. They have little sample bottles that contain around 2 to 3 uses so you can see how it is.

REALLY IMPORTANT WHEN BUYING COLOGNES!!!!!!! READ BELOW

DO NOT under any circumstances buy a cologne from a source that seems sketchy or unreliable.
DO NOT be cheap when buying cologne. If you can't afford a scent, look for a different one.

ONLY BUY COLOGNES MADE IN... America, France, Italy, UK or anywhere else in Europe. IF IT'S NOT MADE THERE, DO. NOT. BUY. IT. This is extremely important. Colognes in the modern day (although, for most part, not the ones I've listed) tend to be artificially created. They don't use real ingredients but instead those they've made in a lab so that the product remains as constant as possible. If you purchase a cologne made outside of the countries listed you risk unsafe practices due to nonexistent quality control.

Good luck and best wishes dude! Feel free to PM me with any questions.
