(If this doesn't belong here, sorry. Could a mod kindly move it? :))

OK this is a REAL problem I have been facing for a while. Maybe a year. Yeah, I get that everyone will get it sooner or later and some worse than others, but I really am not sure about mine if it is just a serious condition or what. But anyways, I have it all over my forehead, chin, and nose. I've tried everything from letting it be, to Jessica Simpson's miracle Proactive, to alcohol patches. NOTHING is working, and it seems every type of conditioner/cleaner I put on makes it worse. I was just looking around and found out about some drug or something (isotetrononin, or some sort of that name). What is that stuff? Will it help? Perscription? Alergic reactions (I'm alergic to Sulfa drugs)? Are there any hard-core things I might not have tried yet? I might be taking this a little out of hand, but I'm really desperate; like I said I know everyone gets it but I don't know anyone with it as severly as I do (in person). And these commercial ads are getting me discouraged. It's like is there something wrong with my skin with your product? Haha

Anyways, anyone in-the-know with advice is apperciated (well I guess everyone is appreciated) :).

Well, acne happens in puberty, so it's the right place :D

I had a lot of acne when I was really stressed out. Now, most of it is gone because I'm happier. But now I've got back acne and it just won't go away!!! >:0[

All I did while I had all those zits (all those zits inside my face -_-), I popped them, then cleaned them w/alcohol. Clearasil didn't really work, but in occasions the generic acne cream (in the US) Equate brand (WalMart) would work when I put it right on the pimple, rub it in but not rubbing it in like hand lotion, just in little spots.

Usually things like acne act up when you're stressed or just when your hormones are like *gah you dumb ass gah look who's talking gahhhh*
So I think you should try all the regular procedures (popping, then alcohol) and wait it out. Even pop any you have around your hair line...and really scrub when you use the alcohol!

A bit long, but that's what works for me!

Well. I bet you I have worse acne than you do. Im on a prescription cream right now and its working quite well. I also use Spectro gel at night to clean my skin then i apply the medication. Popping i only recomend for individual pimples, and make sure to get all the white stuff out too!

Yeah I've just given up lately and popped them even though I've been told thats the worst possible thing to do. That alcohol trick just hurts like hell for me.. Don't help at all.

I thought it might be all the frickin' stress I've been under lately, but I read on wikipedia somewhere that stress only provokes it, not produce it. Still, I suppose stress could be the main factor. Guess I should learn those damn breathing excersises... *in, out, in, out*

Im on a prescription cream right now and its working quite well.

That's kind of what I was aiming at with this. Where/How did you get a perscription and what were the.. uh... 'qualifications'?

thats because you havent hit the hard of puberty, and also may not have natural oily skin.

when i was thirteen, i was clear of anything, because i hadn't started puberty.

now, at 15, im getting pimples daily (99% are on my hairline) and a lot of dirt in my skin. i wash my face with "OXY Face Wash" everyday in the shower and i think that might hold it off for right now.

basically, all of the guys in my family had to be put on hardcore prescription drugs because my dad has very oily skin. in fact, he had an acne disease as a teen, which of i forget the name, but it was just where his acne was so bad that is inflamed. he used to tell me that he had pimples the size of quarters and stuff.

even if you have started puberty AJ, you still havent developed into it enough to have acne.

DTF, are you a dee dee dee.....? Pimples are one of the first signs of puberty, well can be.. And oily skin will develop at the same time pretty much as ejaculation

i would like to say
1. HA i beat u all i have it on my back and chest as well as my face
2. DONT PICK EM it scars (trust me i know)
3. acne has nothing to do with personal hygiene (in fact too much washing causes imflammation).

if u have any other questions about acne just ask me (im well experienced)

1) I have back acne
2) I'll take the risk
and 3) Acne does have something to do with personal hygiene! If you don't wash, all that dirt in your pores are gonna collect and give you pimples/black heads, even tho too much washing can cause imflammation

black heads and yellow heads arent acne

your more likely to get acne from washing too much because you body eagerly replaces the natural oils u have just washed away with twice as much.

You keep using 'too much'
I mean regularly

And I also used 'and'. I get more acne if I don't take a shower at least one time a day.

I use Oxyclean. It works awesome. Ok, my hair was really long a while back and I had horrible acne. I cut my hair and all of it on my hair line was gone!
