okay I need help on this essay. due tomorrow, so please help me TODAY -_-

Prompt: Reflecting upon the three genres of literature we have sampled, make a case that argues which of them resonates most strongly with the human condition as seen from the modern day reader's perspective.

Genres: Anglo Saxons, Middle Ages, Renaissance

I chose Renaissance. most of its literature contained concepts of evil and good, choice and consequence, and appearance versus reality.

Macbeth is the one we studied in class...I've decided to write about that and how the concepts apply, and then the next paragraph I write how the concepts apply to a modern day work. for that, I chose the Hunger Games trilogy.

That's where I'm stuck.

this is what I have so far. please please help me :/

The literature of the Anglo Saxons dealt with life and death, loyalty, and survival. Authors in the Middle Ages focused on hope, redemption, and morality. In the Renaissance, the writing had humanistic concepts of evil and good, choice and consequence, and appearance versus reality. Many of the works answered what it meant to be human. The Renaissance concept of choice and consequence resonates most strongly with the human condition as seen from the modern day reader’s perspective.

Shakespeare’s Macbeth clearly shows the concept of choice and consequence. Macbeth chooses to go along with his wife’s plan of killing King Duncan and eventually he goes from Thane of Cawdor to king, king to tyrant, and is finally killed by Macduff. Lady Macbeth makes the decision to persuade her husband to kill Duncan so that he would become king. This choice leads to her going crazy with guilt over what she had done, and eventually she kills herself. Macbeth also has the concept of good and evil.

The Hunger Games trilogy is a modern-day novel that has choice and consequence in them as well. In the first book, The Hunger Games, Katniss volunteers in place of her younger sister.

You can say something about superstitions and belief in the supernatural. Macbeth listened to the prophecies of the three witches and believed the prophecies due to his recent promotion to the Thane of Cawdor. However, as he illegitimately became the King of Scotland, he became arrogant. Although, he did not believe that he will be slain later, Macbeth lived in fear of ghosts - a supernatural being.

Maybe you can comment how guilt and belief of the supernatural correlates in today's world. I've never read The Hunger Games, so I don't know if I helped or not. :)
