Tell her this:
"Hey mom! I just wanted to tell you that I just murdered someone. Painfully. And slowly. Also, I'm gay. Just kidding! Only half of that is true!"
I read it somewhere and used it on my mother, though adapted for me being Bi. I actually works and either (A) she will be relieved that you didn't actually murder someone, or (B) she will think that you have a sense of humour!

Went pretty well, I did it over email while they were on vacation in Cali to letthem get a chance to think first lol I'll let you guys know how our first face to face talk goes... She called said I love you and said nothing will change but she also said when she gets back we need to talk about some things lol.
It's probably because we're Christian so homosexuality is wrong... I'll let you guys know what happens
Thanks for the support!!!

Hey man, welcome to the best community that you could ever have in a situation like this, we would all bend over backwards to help one another, we all know what each other go through, we all support one another.
Let us know if you need anything, anything at all and we will be there for you. I am proud that you had the curate to do so, I may sound strong but I have yet to tell my parents I am bi but that is me, you are much younger and have accomplished more in my mind than I can imagine, this is a major step and I want you to know that you are supported 100%.

Congratulations on getting the courage to tell your mom, it takes some guts :) Best of luck to you. Just don't beat around the bush or she might not be able to take you seriously.
