Although I don't like Djent(yes periphery included) and metalcore, doesn't mean I should go around and bash you guys for liking it, and enforce you to listen to "true metal".
I like what I like. And you like what you like. But if you are ready to go for other styles, then you are always welcomed.

Exactly. The Metals and the sub metal categories should join forces and make peace and respect each other for their brutal and groove orientated awesomeness especially since we're already the underdogs amongst the uber mainstream generation. We don't need to be carnal about each other's taste. At the end of the day we're all into heavy beastly riffs and luscious screams and growls. That alone should be celebrated if not already for our added diversity to the great genre that is Metal.

The guy in Tarot looks identical to Nightwish's bassist. Tarot isn't bad, but nothing I'd go out of my way to listen to.
Just to add:
Within Temptation. Another awesome European melodic metal group.
I hate lyric videos, but it's the best I could find that allowed embedding.

LMAO, there's no harsh truth to face, just opinion. The thing with those bands is they borrow a lot of elements from other sub genres in metal which I must admit I quite like. It makes for more diverse and non formulaic listening.
The off-shot metal core comment is a tad harsh. It shows similarities but it's NOT "trying to be" anything else. You could say it's trying to be prog, but it's not. It's just got characteristics.
Meshuggah were the pioneers of this movement, but I bet you won't call them metal core. And last time I checked, Atreyu was metal core. Screw Atreyu! They having nothing on bands in this field, like zero.
I'm not ranting, trust me, I'm very chilled at this moment in time. I just want you to know what exactly what these Djent incorporated bands are not.

Funnily enough, I started to hate them after they gained significant popularity. Well, it wasn't just that, I mostly got over them and moved on but after listening to their new album just recently I've concluded that it's a pile of wank. The only song I found bearable was 'My Girl Likes To Party All The Time' Eddie Murphy cover.
Every album up to 'Are you dead yet?' was fucking fantastic. Blooddrunk was meh.

I. Love. Metal.
My tastes go into death metal, power metal, black metal, progressive metal, and glam metal. Death metal is my #1.
Some favorite bands: Septic Flesh, Anaal Nathrakh, Arsis, Benighted, Bloodbath, Burning the Masses, Kataklysm, Ex Deo, Deicide (Christians beware), Gojira, Frozen Eternity, Malodorous, Iced Earth, Blind Guardian, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Angra, Stratovarius, Ruthless Order, Trauma, Vader, Decapitated, Vital Remains, Dream Theater, Theocracy, Insomnium, Into Eternity, Nile, Ouroboros, Persuader, Sangre Eterna and The Human Abstract.
I'm your go-to guy for any death metal -- symphonic, melodic, and brutal alike. Chances are, I can name bands from countries you probably never even heard of.

Sorry dude I know we are all swinging for the same genre but metal core is more electric Atreyu isn't metal core I just class it as metal if you want metal core the best bands to hit up are:
Architects
Asking Alexandria
The Devil Wears Prada
Chelsea Grin
Memphis May Fire
Bring Me The Horizon (as much as I hate to use them as an example)
Bless The Fall
Parkway Drive
Suicide Silence
Metal core is really just a technical term for "breakdowns heavy enough you ring the RAC" heavy screaming but soft clean vocals it's my favourite genre and I dont really care if people dislike it, at the end of the day it's all the same genre just some is heavier/lighter/faster/slower, at least it's not Justin fucking bieber LMFAO

I'm very jealous. I've seen Ozzy on his own and he was fantastic but I need to see Black Sabbath in its original entirety, and this is my last shot. All the tour dates are in Europe at the moment, but according to something I read on the Black Sabbath website, more dates will be posted for 2013, and I live in America so I'm being very hopeful.
That is, assuming Tony Iommi is alright. If you didn't know, he was diagnosed with early-stage lymphoma so I'm note sure how the tour is going to go. He's going to be alright, I'm sure, but it could put tour dates on hold.
