It's perfectly fine. Especially if you live somewhere that guys are typically scared or nervous about coming out. If it was me, I would have to skype and talk a lot before dating. But I would consider it.

I don't see why not BUT you have to be VERY VERY careful nowadays!!! I met my current bf online and it took alot for us to make sure everything was safe and we were who we said we were. It can be done but just be careful and smart about it.

Providing you get proof that whoever you're getting close to is who they say they are i don't see any problem with it. As long as you're willing to take into consideration that its not going to be easy for you or your partner then go for it. A lot of trust and patience is going to be needed from both sides to make it work and its not always going to be easy to cope with, but if you find someone worth the wait then whos to say whether its right or not? Like i said, just be safe and cautious. Never meet up with anyone unless you're sure they are who they say they are and you've informed a trusted adult or friend of where you're going and whom you're meeting.

If you want to to it, go for it but for gods sake be careful!
It's common at the moment for you to meet up with someone and for them to drug you - I know someone who had it happen to them. It gave them brain damage.
Just be extremely careful and if anything seems amiss, be on your guard.

I think it's alright. You just need to be true to him and of course make sure that he is also telling the truth. It will be hard especially if you live thousands of k's away but if you do live close, just be careful :D
