When I have to run a mile for like P.E. (we do 4 laps), by the time i'm on my 3rd lap, my legs start hurting/getting tired (I don't seem to run out of breath). I was wondering what I can do to run longer without my legs getting hurt.

Make sure that you stretch and warm up correctly and spend about 5-10 Minutes warming up. Also try to do gentle runs outside school to help improve you resilience of running. Also drink plenty of water before, and after doing PE.
Any questions on how to warm up correctly or anything else just let me know :)

What Josiah said. Also, try running outside of school. If your legs start to hurt after about a mile, start off by doing a little less than that. Do that for a while, and start aiming higher after each distance goal becomes easier. You'll be running faster before you know it :)

Stretch slowly before you run.
I remember in Gym we would rush through stretches... stretch on the side if needed.
If you are doing something like a timed mile or something for a time, do some light jogging to warm up your muscles first.
After you are done, stretch.
Get calves, quads, hamstrings, glutes. Get everything.
Also, sometimes it is better to run for a while, then jog a tiny bit- slowing down but not stopping. Then speed up.

Run outside of school; like 3-5 miles every other day, but less if you are a beginner.

Stretching...everytime someone goes for a run, it's pretty self explanatory that they stretch and warm-up first :)

Warming/cooling down is just as important in my opinion. I need to do it after every intensive workout/run/bike ride or I get really cramped for the day or two afterwards :(

I ran three miles during cc every meet. You learn to deal with it. If a mile becomes your routine then you will hardly notice.

It depends on your form. More evidence is showing that a forefoot strike will lead to less injury. Please transition to barefoot and your body will love you forever.

Pacing can be really important. Don't feel the need to take off fast in order to impress or whatever, finishing and pace is way more important than impression. Try to start slower and save your energy for the last lap or two.

It is always about increasing your stamina. You should try running more often and pushing yourself that extra "mile" every time this will benefit greatly when running long distances.
Also make sure you stretch your calf muscles and the rest of your body before running this will help you get your muscles prepared for the run.
