I take about 5-7 ladder bars a week. Are there any long term effects? Can i get addicted to bars?

Err, Benzos have nasty withdrawal effects. In essence, benzodiazepines are GABA receptor ligands (sort-of agonists with their own binding site), which is a lot like alcohol. However they are much stronger than alcohol and addiction is not unusual, but still rather rare. However for the post part, therapeutic doses are pretty safe. I assume a ladder bar is a single 1-2 mg dose, yes? I would be very cautious. Seriously, Benzo withdrawal can be very, very nasty.

i just spent a little time w/ my pharmicist, asking about the zanax, and how to get off of it (i take 4 a day)...he said to start w/ removing 1 a day for a week.. then going to 1 in a.m. 1/2 at noon, and 1 in p.m. for another week.....then 1 in a.m. 1/2 , and 1/2 ..and so on, down till i'm only taken 1/2 in am, and 1/2 in afternoon......then taking 1/2 at about middle of day for 2 weeks.....i have to get off all thistype of meds if i'm going to get "clean".....then when my body gets better, i can start taking just wwhat i need only...it's been wako for 3 yrs. hope this all works, before i end up in rubber room!!!!
