I just want a bit of peace for once, that's all. And whenever that peace comes, it's shattered right away.

My mum and my dad have this "glorious" age difference. I don't know how this is possible, but I think it's just the right difference in age, can't think of any other explanation. But the strange thing is, when someone on my mum's side dies, someone on my dad's side dies within the next year or so.

It's been totally proven so far. My grandmother on my mum's side died November '00, my grandmother on my dad's side died February '02 to start. Then the same pattern continued with my great aunts and uncles, first a relative on my mum's side, then a relative on my dad's side.

I mentioned about my absence in October, my mum's father died. Three months later, I'm called at work by my father who says my great grandmother of 100 as of July passed away today. She went to sleep and she was dead in the morning. I guess that's the way to go though. What infuriates me is my budget wasn't designed for multiple funerals and family trips every year. So I have to sit this one out. I haven't seen her since her birthday in 2009. I have two pictures, two. Of her and me.

I just want this shit to stop.

Aw, Rith, I'm so sorry to hear this. :hug3:

But wow, she lived to 100. Reminds me of my great-grandmother who lived to 97 (and was still living on her own too). I'm glad it was peaceful for her at least.

I know there's prolly not much more I can really say but I'm always here if you need extra hugs. :)
