I'd go with the first one (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Samsung+-+Series+3+Laptop+/+Intel%26%23174%3B+Core%26%23153%3B+i3+Processor+/+15.6%26%2334%3B+Display+/+4GB+Memory+-+Black/Silver/3475234.p?id=1218404128405&skuId=3475234&st=samsung%20laptop&cp=1&lp=13). It has a newer-generation processor, as well as a larger hard drive (Plus it's black! :P ).
Other than that though, it looks like they're essentially the same (With the first one being a slight bit thinner & lighter.)

Neither, HP probook. Samsung's tech support is horrible for laptops, replacement parts are hard to acquire and the entire product build is shoddy. I can also guarantee you Best buy will overcharge you. Look at newegg if you can

Agreed, at that price, HP is the best you can do. I personally dont trust any brand but Alienware. Bought one a their PC's and will never go with another brand again!

WOW! Nobody asked the most important question ever, what are you going to be doing with it? Is it a super steezy gaming laptop? Is it a facebook machine? Do you already have a rad desktop and need something to take notes on at school?

Also, Dell has had major issues in the past with quality control in all their PCs, if you do buy one, buy it new, not used or refurbished since they only recently (last two years) stepped up their game. Alienware is Dell, if you trust Alienware, you trust Dell as well, they just put more expensive parts in their computers.

HP is the current everyman's laptop, good stuff.

Lenovo has gotten this "businessman's laptop" stereotype, because theyve always made pretty plain laptops, but theyre still good.

Sony's are overpriced, I have one, love it, wouldn't recommend it to anybody else.
Samsung and Toshiba are mediocre, just buy a warranty from the store so you don't really have to deal with the actuall company with repairs.

Macs are 1200 facebook machines. (And if you say they're better for artsy stuff, you're wrong.)

Asus is probably my current favorite manufacturer for all things technology, but I'll let you make your own decisions on that one.

There are plenty of other companies out there, but these are the ones I can think of off the top of my head. I bought my laptop because it was prettier than all the other ones that I could afford. I just needed something to take notes on at school since I've got an OP monster desktop at home.

FIRST AND FOREMOST: What are you going to be using it for, then all your dreams will come true (aka questions answered knowledgeably)

EDIT: Also, can you wait before buying? Intel is releasing a new laptop chipset (Ivy Bridge or something I think) so anything that you would buy now is going to be much cheaper when that happens cause manufacturers are going to be releasing new lines of systems and business will try to clear old inventory. Maybe look into when thats happening and plan accordingly to get a great deal.

Mac vs PC has become a Honda Vs Acura argument. At this point they do the same things, one just does it prettier and for more money. Judging by the laptops he showed above (of which only one link worked for me) Apple isn't in his budget, and that's probably the most important thing to consider.

Yeah I would lovveeeeee a mac but I don't really think it makes sense spending 1000+ even though both windows PCs and Macs do the same thing (and Windows does suck balls) I'm just looking for a new laptop do just do regular things Facebook,Youtube, school things etc. And now only one of the laptops I posted above are available and I think refurbished is like just when someone used the laptop for a little bit and realised there was a small problem buttons missing and stuff like that and then they just send it back to the factory, the factory fixes it and sells it again but as refurbished.
