So I've been going to therapy for about a year now. I feel like it may be crucial for me to tell my therapist soon that I am gay, but I still haven't told my parents. They are completely fine with homosexuality and I'm sure they will accept me, I just haven't known exactly how to say it or when to do it. I'm afraid that my parents might feel like I'm keeping things from them if they find out that I didn't tell them first (one of my parents already feels this way). I have a therapy appointment very soon and I really want to get this out of my system. What should I do?

As in you have a therapist and everything too? Then I'd recommend the same thing previous posters have said. Talk with your therapist about your sexuality and about coming out to your family.

i would tell your therapist first only so she can help you on how to best come out to your parents

Thanks a lot for all the comments. I did end up coming out to my therapist and I definitely think that it worth it. Thanks again!
