I sleep in the same room as my mum, we only have 2 bedrooms and my brothers 17 so we cant stay in the same room anymore.

And im finding it so hard to hide my cuts while i sleep, the ones im worried she'll see are my lower leg, and my ankle. Ive resorted to wearing a onsie ( like a adult size babygrow:L ) but its getting way to hot sleeping it it all the time.

Also im worried about hiding them on my lower arm while sleeping. I only cut my upper arm, but i want to know how to hide them if i ever end up cutting there.

I hope this isnt asking for tips, its just not the right time for me to tell my parents and get help. Thanks for any replies.

Your ankle, just wear socks. I do. I don't like feet so it's never been questioned but I highly doubt your mother would wonder why you were wearing socks anyway.

As for your lower arm, if you don't already cut there why start? Believe me I wish i'd kept to my upper arm but I didn't so long sleeves are a must. Try to keep it to your upper arm instead of causing problems for yourself that you don't need.
If however you do end up cutting your lower arm, just wear long sleeves?

As I said before can't you just try not to start cutting your lower arm you'll regret it.

I wear a hoodie to bed so the end of the sleeves aren't lose if you follow?
Or you could wear a hair band around your wrist over your top to keep your sleeves down.

I share a bed with my friend. She knows now but before she found out I used to where socks and took them into my jarma bottoms then a long sleeved top. If your afraid about it roling up then put hair bands over the cuff around your wrist. I did this for months without a problem.

I personally wear a pair of PJ pants and a sweatshirt. It's winter not, so it's not that much of a problem anymore.

When I only had cuts on my wrist, (which surprisingly was during the summer..) I was able to sleep in a tee-shirt, and hide my wrist. As I cut more in different places, it got harder, so I bought a thin sweater. And I slept in that every night. I had to get rid of a few blankets, but the thin sweater did the job.

You could try a thin sweater, or a thin long sleeved shirt.

Of course your best bet would be to tell your mom, like the thread you made.

Good luck :)

I make sure that I fall asleep with my arms under the cover and never once in my whole 2 years of cutting have I woken up with them out of the covers.

I understand this probably doesn't work for everyone, but it's worth taking notice...

What I do to hid the scars on my lower arms and wrists at night is to get a long sleeved top and cut thumb-holes in the end of the sleeves, works wonders. As for your legs, just wear socks. Hope this helps.

Put some sort of makeup on it like Blush or preferably foundation. I cut too and it works!
