you can't really change what they truly are. they will forever be a man. but if you're attracted to him for having the appearance of a female, then you're straight.

I think questions like these sort of begin with a false premise, because words like "gay" or "straight" only really work to describe people and the sums of their identities, not isolated actions.

Unless you're specifically attracted to a transgender woman only because of her male genitals, it shouldn't make a difference whether or not she's had sexual reassignment surgery.

Basically, a man being attracted to a transwoman doesn't suggest in the slightest that he's gay.

As for people saying "he'll always be a man," etc., I get that trans-ness makes a lot of people uncomfortable, but when you say things like that, you're denying and erasing the identities of many real, living people, who know better than you what they are.

sexuality is physical and sexual attraction. if the person you had sex with has boobs and a vagina, then yes it is straight.
