I downloaded Portal (classic) today, and I found a bug. I can't see through portals. However it's not your typical pitch black bug. They don't link, they simply show unconnected. I tried typing in the -window, changed graphic settings, and still can't figure it out. Any of ya'll know how to fix this?

Could be a driver issue.
Are your graphics drivers up to date? If not, update them.

I update in the windows update thing, though I don't know if that includes the driver's updates. Does it? If it doesn't how do I update them?

I use Vista to be specific, and run it on a Compaq, in case either of those help.

While Windows Update does include some graphics updates, it generally doesn't include the latest ones.

First you're going to need to check and see the make and model of your graphics card, if you know it, great! If not, follow the instructions below:

Hit the Windows key & 'R' at the same time, you should get a run box, in it type in "msinfo32.exe" exactly, then hit enter. Expand "Components" then click on "Display". Under "Name" should be both the make (NVIDIA, ATI, AMD, or Intel) and Model (GTX 460, 2600HD, etc) of your graphics adapter (It may also say it under "Adapter Type" and "Adapter Description").

Once you have the make & model of your graphics card, you will either need to head off to NVIDIA (http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us), ATI/AMD (http://support.amd.com/us/Pages/AMDSupportHub.aspx) or Intel (http://downloadcenter.intel.com/). Be sure to choose the correct 'bit' (32 or 64 bit) of your operating system, as they are not cross-compatible.

Scratch that guis. I had to change the portal render depth. Been doin research for maybe an hour. Finally found something.

Or that works too. :P

But it really sounded like a driver issue.
