Bring me the Horizon: Love them or hate them?

If you dont know who they are they are a death metal/ metalcore/ death core band led by infamous lead singer Oli Sykes.

Go onto youtube and search their music. If you like the genres above you will love them.

In my view they are one of the best british bands out there at the moment and do not deserve the hate that they get. I was recently at a concert where they were supporting Machine Head and they got bottled like mad.

I want to know what your opinion is on them?

I don't hate them, but they're part of a huge group of mostly post hardcore/deathcore bands that I haven't really listened to, but still feel entitled to an opinion about.

That's not true, because I love those genres, and I do not love BMTH. I wouldn't say I hate them. But I'm not a huge fan. I know a lot of people who "love" them, though, and I think they're overrated because Oli Sykes is gorgeous.

ok fair enough but i do agree on the oli sykes thing and that is a big argument going around music. Especially bands like BMTH and Black veil brides that their look is more important that their music and if they looked worse they would loose a LOT of fans. That is kind of true. But i never new what they looked like when i started listening to them. As i mainly use spotify when checking out bands.

That's true. You have a right to like what you like, but they're just not my cup of tea, per se. I do believe there are a few people out there (like you) who actually like their music.

Yeah, im not being sexest here but i would say that it is mainly the girls that are biast towards a band because of a 'fit' lead singer. This of course applies to homosexuals as well but less so because for some reason i do find that more guys listen to metal than girls, and the girls that do will probs think that people like oli sykes are fit

I never used to like them, despite back then thinking Oli was quite attractive. I only really started listening to them when Suicide Season came out and only started loving them when There's a Hell believe me i've seen it, there's a heaven let's keep it a secret came out.

I think generalising that people only listen to a band for their looks is stupid, and that loads of people see BMTH as a "band for girls" and that if they actually listened to them they wouldn't find it so bad.

As for Black Veil Brides, I love them too. Tbh I think they're bringing the costume element back into Rock. Kiss did it, why are BVB getting the shit for it?

Agreed. Their music is great. And I happen to like the costumes, though I don't find them attractive.

The costumes are interesting and unique. They are doing something different in a genre where endless bands have no difference between one another. and that why they stand out from the crowd
