So the long and short of it is that over the past maybe 3 years our friendship group has all dated one guy, we’ll call him Steve. We’re a very small school so dating ex’s and stuff isn’t uncommon. Recently he has entered a relationship with another girl we’ll call Sarah. The moment her status changed on Facebook the comments started rolling in and people are giving all of us rubbish even though for some of us it’s been well over 2 years since we’ve been in a relationship with him.

For me we never got together, so it’s really unfair that I’m getting this rubbish from people. It sucks even more that these are girls who are meant to be our friends and are obviously going to make it difficult for Sarah ad Steve. Regardless of the history it is just really unfair on them that people doom them to failure before they’ve even started. The most recent example is that a picture of Sarah, myself and another friend was posted on Facebook and our ‘friend’ had the nerve to post ‘*common denominator* Steve’. I would really like advice on what to do because right now it’s taking all my effort to go off on one at the girl who posted it.

As aforementioned, it’s a small school, so any fights are not on a small scale-everyone gets involved. Any advice is welcome (:

Agreed. Ignore what they say.
