I applied to two, and got accepted into both. I am choosing to go to Pitt, like my older brother.

I also only applied to two and got accepted into both. I'm choosing to go to UMBC, which is a local college that fits me perfectly.

I'm going the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. Class of 2016!! WOO. I'm going to make a career out of the Navy, retire after 20 years maybe longer, and then become a politician. Maybe I'll be president some day!

I've applied to several universities to start off in Media Tech, Computer Science, or Psychology (preferably forensic). After, I will most likely post-grad in law to become a practicing attorney. One university I applied to is a private university, the other four are state universities. They haven't sent out acceptance letters yet, though.

Listen in class
Don't suck up
Study
Shut the hell up

At this point in life the teachers know much, much more than you do. If you go to a good college, they're all scholars. This isn't high school anymore. Forget what you know, forget about "telling them" and just hang desperately to every word your teachers say.

Also inquire with older people in your major as to who the best teachers are. College professors mostly do not hold any degree in pedagogy. They're just experts in their field, so the quality varies wildly. Some will be naturally good teachers, some will be boring as all get-out but potable, and others will just suck terribly. The teacher you have can be the difference between passing and failing. Sounds unfair, but that's life.

Personally, the best teacher I've ever had was my constitutional law teacher. The fucker knew how to make even the most boring subjects very fun indeed. That and penis jokes.

Hahaha, helpful. Thanks. It seems like you really have to game your schedule for the top-quality teachers in high school and beyond. Makes sense. So how are the fraternities/sororities in your college?

I'm not American. Fraternities (especially of the Greek alphabet kind) are unknown here.

Yeah definitely. First of, go to class. Every person that I hear about failing a class seems to be the type that skips multiple classes a week.

Also, make an effort to communicate with your professors. If they know your name and that you are always in class paying attention, B's become A's.

Try not to get involved in too much at once. Don't join 3 clubs that seem cool, play a club sport and rush a fraternity.. this could be overwhelming. Pick a couple things that you are most passionate about.

and lastly.. make lots of friends. It was very weird for me to start from scratch and not know anyone, but ultimately a great experience.

let me know if you have any questions.

Applied to FDU, RIT, Drexle, Columba (yes, ivies), and Lehigh

Got accepted to one already, got a "yes probably but you won't get official acceptance until March" from another, waiting on the last 3.
